Amidst the rocky Aravalli Hilla Amber Fort is a beautiful and magnificent Fort built in red sandstone and stands tall in the middle of the city glorifying the entire city by its mere presence. In the heart of Jaipur, lies the magnificent City Palace, an imperative monument in the list of places to visit in Jaipur. Protected by huge walls, this palace is a fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

The palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal is a prominent monument in Jaipur. The five stories building was built in 1798 with 953 small windows decorated with intricate lattice work.

The Museum was built in 1876 to commemorate the visit of Prince of Wales. This museum is home to one of the six ‘Egyptian Mummies’ in India. This Mummy was gifted as a souvenir to the museum by the Brugsch Bey of the Museum of Cairo. It displays various weapons, crafts, paintings and old royal attires.

Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh built this inspiring structure to study space. He was the known theorist of ancient India and was even successful in building a planned city of Jaipur. He built 5 astronomical instruments that were called Jantar Mantar which were the calculating instruments. The observatory has been declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Nahargarh Fort also known as Abode of Tigers is a massive Fort a few kilometers away from the city. From the top of the Fort, you can have the panoramic view of the beautiful city of Jaipur. The fort has also served as backdrop for many hindi movies.

The famous Jal Mahal is named Jal Mahal as it stands in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. Built in sand color stones, it is five-story building of which 4 stories remain underwater. This pristine Lake and magnificent Palace cannot be missed once you visit Jaipur.

One of the famous Birla temples is situated in Jaipur and is highly revered by the people of Jaipur. It is a massive temple built in white marble and looks exquisite and people have high beliefs in the God.
