Weather in Jaisalmer

Being an arid desert region, it has extreme climate. The temperature varies greatly from day to night in both summer and winter. The maximum summer temperature is around 49 °C while the minimum is 25 °C

Best Time to Visit

Best time to visit Jaisalmer is between the months of November and March. Maximum temperature does not go beyond 24 degree Celsius in winter, so desert can best be enjoyed in winters.

How to Reach

By Air

Jaisalmer is not directly connected by air with any part of India. Jodhpur Airport, located at 300 km away is the nearest airport to the desert land. From Jodhpur Airport, you can hire cabs to reach Jaisalmer.

By Train

Located 2 km east of the city, Jaisalmer railway station is connected widely with network of regular trains to important cities of India such as Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur etc.

By Road

When it comes to connectivity, Jaisalmer is well-connected to almost all other major cities of India by Road. You can hire a taxi or board a private bus to reach Jaisalmer by road.
