The land of sand is better explored on Camel hunk than on your on foot. Camel is meant to safari in desert and is naturally gifted to walk smoothly on drowning sand. The picturesque desert in Rajasthan as it is attracts a huge flock of tourists from around the World and when it comes to exploring the sands on Camel, the tour gets even more enticing. Rajasthan is home to massive Thar Desert that is meant to give you some amazing safari experience. Apart from touring in Thar Desert, Rajasthan houses some remarkable destinations like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Mandwa, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Bikaner and others.  You can enjoy Camel Safari in almost all these destinations however, the safari is not as enticing as the one in Thar, but definitely gratifying as the first time experience.

The Camel Safaris becomes even more alluring when you get to witness and experience the treasures of desert like dance shows, music shows and evening views in the desert. Besides, camping in the desert is an unreal experience to get in Rajashthan. The clear sky above the desert acts as a blanket of million stars twinkling above you on cool breezy nights of the desert. The Camel expedition can’t get better than this when you get to stay under the open sky after a long camel expedition. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, our amiable representative will escort you to your hotel. Check into the hotel, freshen and rest for the day. Get revived for next day to explore the city.

Day 2: Delhi Local Sightseeing

So, it’s time to get acquainted with the city of old and contemporary blend. It isn’t called old Delhi and New Delhi for namesake, the city blends together the old and the new to offer its tourist the best travel experience. So to explore the old visit the famous and highly revered Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, and Jama masjid in old Delhi. Evenings could be spend in the streets of New Delhi while relishing upon street food of Delhi. In the evening, attend a light and sound show. Return back home and spend night in the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi – Mandawa

On day 3, check out from the hotel and drive towards Mnadawa, a small town in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district. The town is famous for its exquisite Havelis built by Shekhawat Rajputs. You will reach by late afternoon and upon arrival check into the hotel and get freshen up to explore the small town. Visit Sewaram Saraf Haveli, Ram Pratap Nemani Haveli, Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Goenka Double Haveli, Murmuria Haveli, Jhunjhunwala Haveli and others. Return back to hotel and stay overnight.

Day 4: Mandawa - Bikaner (189 kms)

On the day 4 of your 17 days tour to Rajasthan, proceed towards Bikaner, a city famous for Junagarh Fort built in 16th century.  Arrive in Bikaner and check into the hotel and get fresh in order to continue your local sightseeing in Bikaner. Visit a huge complex of ornate buildings and halls of the famous Junagarh Fort. Later move on to Jain temples. Explore the town and surrounding markets in the evening. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 5: Bikaner – Jaisalmer

Morning is kept free for you to explore the local markets and shop for exclusives at Bikaner. Later in the noon, you will drive towards Jaisalmer, the camel safari base.  Once you arrive in Jaisalmer, check into the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 6: Jaisalmer - Badabagh - Baisakhai - Ramkunda

Much awaited Camel Safari is here to begin. Begin your camel safari towards Badabagh and tour to royal cenotaphs of Bhatti Rajput Kings, rulers of Jaisalmer once. On your camel safari journey, halt at Baisakhi, a small village for lunch. Continue your safari after lunch to Ramkunda. Enjoy the visit to Hindu temples here and enjoy the scenic pleasures here and enjoy your stay at tented accommodation here.

Day 7: Ramkunda - Roopsi - Ludharwa –Chatrayil- Peerawal

Day 7 is going to be your second safari day. Begin your camel safari towards Ludharwa via Roopsi, a small village with diverse population. The mud and stick huts of the village is major attraction. Further continue towards Chatrayil, a famous Muslim Village that reflects the deep routed tradition of Musim culture. In the end, you reach Peerawal where you will stay overnight in a tented accommodation.

Day 8: Peerawal – Salkha- Beri of Kanoi - Sand dunes

On day 8, your camel safari takes you to Salkha, a traditional Rajput Village where you will halt for lunch. After a filling lunch, continue your safari to sand dunes via Beri of Kanoi, a village that houses a number of water wells. Upon arrival at Sand dunes, enjoy your night alongside the campfire while listening to desert folk music.

Day 9: Sand dunes - Kanoi - Masoori - Jeseri

Day 9 came safari will take you to Masrooi via carpenter village Kanoi where you canshop for some wooden items that are carved beautifully.  Halt at Masoori, a small village to savor lunch. Later proceed to Jeseri, a water tank that is bounded by beautiful scenery along with an Oasis. Savor your dinner here and spend the night near the tank in the tented accommodation.

Day 10: Jeseiri - Dedha - Deegasar - Kuldhara

On 10 th day of this splendid 17 days tour, continue for Deegasar, a pristine small village surrounded by beautiful small Lake. On the way to Deegasar, halt Dedha a Rajput village of Rajasthan. Later continue to your destination and upon arrival, halt for lunch here. After lunch, begin your journey towards Kuldhara, a popular tourist attraction for being a well planned village of ancient times. Stay overnight here for camping and enjoy the nightstay.

Day 11: Kuldhara - Moolsagar - Amarsagar - Jaisalmer

On day 11, you will be returning back to Jaisalmer while crossing Moolsgar and Amarsagar on the way. While Moolsagar is a small place with garden and tanks but is quite popular for its paintings and architectural marvels. It also houses a beautiful Shiva temple. Amarsagar is a lake cum Oasis. Once you reach Jaisalmer, check-in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Jaisalmer

On this day, get ready to explore the Jaisalmer city. Get ready to visit the first location Patwon Ki Haveli, a five-storied mansion which is one its kind in the city; Salim Singh Ki Haveli- a beautiful mansion that was built 300 years ago, Gadi Sagar tank, an oasis and the Heritage Museum.  Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 13: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

Drive towards Jodhpur from Jaisalmer on 13th day of your trip. It is a long drive towards Jodhpur and you will reach in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax for a while before you go on to explore the city. Stroll around the local bazaars of the city, shop and enjoy. Return back to the hotel to stay overnight.

Day 14: Jodhpur-Local Sightseeing

The famous tourist attraction of the state, Jodhpur is one city that is visited by many tourists every year. Famous for the massive Mehrangarh Fort, the city is quite vibrant and pleasant due to frequen to and fro of tourists from around the world. Visit the Clock Tower built by Maharaja Sardar Singh and then Mehrangarh Fort, the huge fort situated at an elevation of 400 feet and Jaswant Thada mausoleum, an architectural landmark. Return back to your hotel to spend the evening at leisure.

Day 15: Jodhpur – Jaipur (334 kms)

Begin you drive towards the pink city of Indai- Jaipur after you have had your breakfast. Upon arrival check into the hotel and unwind for some time. Spend rest of the day in leisure, stroll around the local market and return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 16: Jaipur local sightseeing

On a local Jaipur sightseeing tour, your first location is Amer Fort where you can hop on the elephant and enjoy the magnificent ride. Next, visit Hawa Mahal, and then royal Jantar Mantar observatory, City Palace and Johri Bazaar, well-known market for the sale and purchase of precious stones. If the shopping is over, return back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 17: Jaipur – Delhi -Departure

After having your breakfast, begin your road journey to Delhi. Once you reach Delhi, check-in at your hotel, get freshened-up. After dinner, get an assisted transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
