Kasol Valley

Location: Kasol, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, India

Situated on the banks of Parvati River, Kasol is beautiful small village where you can witness the intermingling of ultra modern and stereotypical population.  People or travelers from around the world have even settled down in this place forever and run their own small businesses here. It is rare combination of contemporary and orthodox. Fancy cafes, Italian, American and Mexican food is commonly available here due to the number of foreign population living here. Israelis could be more commonly spotted here living for quite a long time. Kasol is a beautiful valley with a lot of places to stay like hotels, home stays and guest houses. If you move ahead from Kasol, you will see Manikaran, Kheerganga and Toash Valley.

Parvati Valley

Location: Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, India

As you move ahead of Kasol in the same Valley, you climb up to precipitous Parvati Valley. If you climb up the steep Vaelly from ahead of Kasol, the valley leads to the famous village Malana. On the way the road passes through Manikaran, a pilgrimage town of Sikhs and Hindu and terminates at Pulga.  This trek leads you to spiritual site Kheerganga which is famous for its hot water springs at high altitude. From there, the Valley further reaches the Tunda Bhuj village at an altitude of 3285 meters. Here the valley cuts a steep sided gorge through the mountains and thick forests starts to get sparse and and you witness large green grounds. The Valley is magically enchanting but to trek through this Valley, you need a lot of strength and agility.

Vaishno Devi Temple

Kheerganga

Bijli Mahadev

Malana

Wildlife Sanctuaries

Location: Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh

Most of the places in Kinnaur are deserted due to its difficult terrain and is not much habitated by the human population. Due to this it is home to many wild life sanctuaries. Weather in Kullu

Kullu weather is very pleasant all year round except for monsoon which is accompanied by heavy rain showers and landslides to heavy rainfall. Summers are however pleasant and weather maximum rises to 20 to 30 degree Celcius.

Best Time to Visit

Well, you can visit Kullu Manali all year round but the best time is the peak summers i.e. between the month of April and July. The monsoons are quite heavy in Kullu Manali often accompanied by landslides and floods, so it is recommended to be safe if you get to visit during monsoons. However, winter months are also the best time to visit; the best time is between October and December, if you want to witness some snowfall.

Air:

You can take up an inward flight from Delhi to Bhuntar Airport which is just  22 kms away from Kullu.
