This short tour to Jaipur, Bharatpur and Agra is perfect weekend getaway for all those who wish to spend their holidays in a place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Bharatpur is famous for its Keoladeo Ghana National Park is a huge bird sanctuary where you can find a huge species of birds and take pleasure in bird watching. This National Park served as former duck-hunting ground for Maharajas back in those eras. The park’s woods and man-made wetlands in the South of the ancient city of Bharatpur, protect over 350 species of migratory and resident birds, including herons, cormorants and eagles. To the southeast, Fatehpur Sikri is home to sandstone temples and a mosque, built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. Today, it is a heritage town with ancient remains of old temples and Forts.

Home to one of the world’s wonders – the magnificent Taj Mahal, Agra is rich cultural heritage site. Agra Fort made in red sandstone is another major tourist attraction in Agra. Taj Mahal is made in white marble while intricately carved by the workers and use of rare gem stones made it even more royal and affluent site. Shah Jahan, one of the Mughal rulers built this magnificent monument in commemoration of his beloved life Mumtaj Mahal and since then the white monument is considered as an epitome of love. This short tour to these three historical cities will leave you rejuvenated and energetic when you go back.

Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Bharatpur

From Delhi, you will board the train to Agra and reach Agra in 2 hours. From the train station, you will be given a guided tour to Taj Mahal and Red Fort. After a gratifying tour to Agra and a filling lunch, leave for Bahratpur via Fatehpur Sikri, where you will visit the heritage city including Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, Birbal Bhawan and Panch Mahal. Later, resume your drive to Bharatpur. Upon arrival check into the hotel and stay overnight

Day 02: Bharatpur/Jaipur

In the morning of day 2, take pleasure in bird watching in the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. Spread across 29 km square, the park is mosaic of dry meadows, swamps and wetlands. Over 366 species of birds and 379 floral species, the Park is rich and worth visiting. The sanctuary is one of the richest bird areas in the world and is known for nesting of resident birds and visiting migratory birds including water birds. Later in the day, begin your drive towards Jaipur. Upon arrival at Jaipur, check into the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 03: Jaipur

On day 3, embark upon the local sightseeing tour TO Jaipur City which houses a number of attractions that reflects India’s flamboyant history and the heroes of history. Begin your tour by visiting Amber Fort where you can hop on the elephants for a ride, then visit Hawa Mahal, the beautiful palace built in red and pink sandstones andsits on the edge of City Palace and the unique Royal Jantar Mantar Observatory. The confluence of heritage and rich history and Mughal architecture, Jaipur is worth your while and deserves all your time. Spend your evening indulging in leisure activities in the hotel. 

Day 04: Jaipur – Delhi

On the last day of your tour, you are kept free in the morning to explore the local bazaars of the city for shopping and enjoying. Later in day, get dropped at Delhi airport or railway station for your onward journey.
