Day 1: Arrival in Jodhpur
Upon arrival in Jodhpur, you will be transferred to the hotel to check in and rest for a while. In the evening you will be going to Mandore gardens and Balsamand Lake. The beautiful cenotaphs built in red stone in the gardens allures a number of tourists. Balsamand Lake is 1km long Lake and is surrounded by lush green gardens with trees like papaya, mango, plum and others.
Day 2: Sight-seeing in Jodhpur
On day 2 of your desert safar, embark upon a local sightseeing tour beginning with a visit to Mehrangarh fort, Umaid Bhavan Palace, Jaswant Thada and Raj Ka Bagh Palace. In evening, visit the beautiful Umed Garden and enjoy the walk around the city. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 3: Jodhpur--Jaisalmer and Sam sand dunes visit
On day 5 of your tour, you will be driving towards Jaisalmer where you will reach after a 6 hour long drive. Upon arrival check into the hotel and unwind for a while. Later in the day, proceed to visit the glorious Jaisalmer Fort and the Royal Cenotaphs. This evening, you will be visiting the magnificent Sam Sand Dunes, bustled with spark. You could opt for a camel ride here to get a real desert experience. Later, enjoy the folk dances and music of royal Rajasthan. You can also choose to live in tented accommodation here in the desert and can enjoy the night with other tourists while sitting around the bonfire and dancing all night.
Day 4: Sightseeing in Jaisalmer
On day 4, go for a local sightseeing tour to Jaisalmer. Visit the famous Jain Temples, Bada Bagh, Folklore Museum and the Amar Sagar Lake here. Also visit Salim ji Ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli, which are most striking amongst the other havelis. In the evening drive towards Sam Sand Dunes where the desert festival ends after a long night cultural show. After witnessing the royal show of the festival, return back to the hotel and enjoy your overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure
Day 5 is the last day of your tour so you get ready to get dropped at Jodhpur railway station/airport to catch a morning train/plane back home.
