Description

“Om Mani Padme Hum,” as one enters the land of spiritual passes; one see the colorful flags sprawling over the white washed stupas spreading the vibes that has no match. Prayer wheels spinning clockwise release mantras that are more- merit-making. Parched mountains unfold mysteries at every turn and seem so flamboyant releasing all the stress that was in your head.

Ladakh reflects many shades of nature that could be witnessed in barren mountains, broad widespread meadows, roaring rivers, the exotic lakes and exigent high altitude passes. An abode of spiritual magnificence and soulful winds, Ladakh needs no introduction when it comes to sprawling beauty of it. However, when it comes to living here forever, the possibilities are a little les. The challenging lifestyle, erratic weather, extreme climatic conditions, sparse vegetation, and extreme high passes pose great challenge in living here. But people of Ladakh are fulfilled high in spirits, gratitude, unwavering faith, satisfaction and serendipity. Ladakh redefines the face of adventure, thrill and most importantly the charm of nature.

The people here are resourceful and self sufficient in arranging fuels and dairy products, organic vegetable, and barley for preparing food. Also the locals prepare their own chang (barley beer). Once you reach Ladakh, it’s not only the dramatic mountains that are going to astonish you but also the modesty of people who live there. They might be aware tall towering structures, western lifestyle, technology or so but are efficient enough to live their lives in best possible way keeping an ecological balance around them.
