Description

Situated at the foothills of Hiamalayas, Uttarakhand is a largely hilly terrain. Besides, the state houses the four most sacred temples of India- Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Popularly known as God’s land, the state is highly inundated with devotees during the pilgrimage season particularly from June to September. Besides, the blissful state of Uttarakhand has rich and rare bio-diversity, inter-alia, and 175 rare species of aromatic & medicinal plants. Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar
As you arrive in Delhi, your journey to the hills begins. On the very first day of your Auli trip, you will be driven to Haridwar, the holy shrine of Hindus. After a 5 or 6 hour long drive as you reach Haridwar, check into the hotel, freshen up and get ready to explore the town. Being in the holiest place of Hindus, you cannot escape the spiritual and religious endeavors. Visit the sacred bathing ghats of Haridwar and take a dip in the holy River Ganga. Spend your evening exploring the town on your own, return to the hotel and stay overnight and rest

Day 02: Haridwar - Barkot
In the morning, seek blessings from the holy River Ganga, leave for Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie. Halt at Mussoorie for lunch and continue your journey thereon to Barkot Upon arrival in Barkot in the evening, check into the holel of a luxury tent for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Ranachatti - Yamunotri - Ranachatti
Day 3 is going to be a long day as you will be going to Yamunotri, a sacred place situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters from where the River Yamuna originates. You will be driven towards Janki Chatti from Bakrot in the morning and you will trek from thereon towards Yamunotri. You will cover the distance of 6 km while you trek from Janki Chatti and reach the Yamunotri temple where you could seek blessing of goddess Yamuna. After paying homage to highly revered goddess Yamuna, trek back to Jankit Chatti. From here you will be driven towards Bakrot and rest overnight in the tented accommodation.

Day 04: Ranachatti - Uttarkashi
Today you will be driven towards Uttarkashi which is at a distance of 82 km from Bakrot. On your journey towards Uttarkashi, visit the Prakateshwar Cave, a natural limestone cave that is famous for having formations resembling the holy shivling. Upon arrival at Uttarakashi, check into a hotel. In the evening visit the Vishwanath Temple and later return back to the hotel for an overnight stay. Uttarakashi - It is situated at the bank of the Bhagirathi River and is bestowed with various famous shrines. To name a few- Vishwanath, Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Kuteti Devi Temple.

Day 05: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi
Today you will be driven to the sacred Gangotri town which is famous for being the origin place of River Ganga. Stroll around the sacred place and religious enough take a dip in holy waters of Ganga and perform certain rituals. Later in the day drive back to Uttarkashi and stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 06: Uttarkashi - Rudraprayag
On day 6 of your religious tour to the sacred state, you will be driven to Rudraprayag, a religious town that houses ancient temples like Vishwanath temple and Ardhnareshwar temple. On the way, halt Molgarh for lunch. Continue your journey ahead alongside the beautiful river Mandakini. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 07: Rudraprayag - Kedarnath
Today you will drive till Gaurikund from where the trek towards Kedarnath begins. As you arrive in Gaurikund, begin your trek towards the sacred Hindu shrine in Kedarnath. Upon arrival at Kedarnath, check into the hotel or tourist bungalow, freshen up and visit the holy Kedarnath temple. Also visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, located just behind the temple. Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 08: Kedarnath - Rudraprayag
Early morning after Temple Darshan, trek down to Gaurikund. Later, drive to Rudraprayag via Guptkashi. Check in Hotel at Rudraprayag and stay overnight.

Day 09: Rudraprayag - Badrinath
On day 9, you will be driven to Badrinath via Joshimath. On arrival at Basdrinath, check into the hotel and freshen up to visit the temple for evening prayers. Explore the tapt kund, take a dip into holy waters and return back to the hotel and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 10: Badrinath - Rudraprayag
If you want to see the Holy bath of the Sri Badrinath then wake up early in the morning and enjoy the beautiful sight. After breakfast drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath, Chamoli, Nanda Prayag and Karna Prayag. On arrival, check in to a hotel and have a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 11: Rudraprayag - Kausani
Today, drive towards the beautiful town of kausani which has splendid scenic marvels to offer you. Upon arrival check into the hotel, freshen up and explore the small town. Stay overnight in the hotel and enjoy your stay.

Day 12: Kausani - Ranikhet - Almora
On day 12, you will be driven to Almora via Ranikhet. Ranikhet is a small grassland town which looks splendid and offer the serene winds and tranquil environ and is a famous picnic spot around Almora town. Halt there for a while and continue your journey ahead towards Almora. Upon arrival at Kausani, check in to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 13: Almora - Nainital
Explore the Almora town of Uttarakhand. Almora is highly residential area in the state after Dehradun. Here you can explore the local markets and shop stuff to take back home for your loved ones. Later in the day leave for Nainital, the Lake town of Uttarakhand. Upon arrival in Almora, check into the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 14: Nainital Sightseeing
The town remained unexplored the previous day, so you can enjoy visiting more places on day 7. You can again visit Naini Lake today to get the feel of boating in the daylight amidst panoramic views. Visit Governor's House- also known Raj Bhavan, visit snow view which is accessible by a cable car ride on the second day of Nainital sightseeing. Agaigain you can enjoy strolling around the Mall road. Return back to hotel and spend the night in the hotel.

Day 15: Nainital - Delhi
Your 15 days tour has come to an end even before you realized. Hope you enjoyed your special Uttarakhand tour. It’s time to say goodbye to the beautiful state of Uttarakhand and drive back to Delhi. You will be dropped at Delhi Airport or Railway station as per your convenience for your onward journey to home.
