Begin your journey to the pristine Himalayas, enjoy the splendors of nature. Two of the most important rivers in Hinduism originate in the glaciers of Uttarakhand, the Ganga and Yamuna at Gangotri and Yamunotri. The Rivers are fed by myriad lakes, glacial melts and streams. Beautiful state has a lot of treks to explore that takes you to the most magnificent views and serene environment for trekking enthusiasts. A famous ski resort at Auli allures a number of foreign and domestic tourists. Skiing adventure can best be experienced here amidst the breathtaking views and serene environs. However, the romantic vibes could best be experienced here in the lap of Himalayan mountain ranges. Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi - Haridwar

As you arrive in Delhi, your journey to the hills begins. On the very first day of your Auli trip, you will be driven to Haridwar, the holy shrine of Hindus. After a 5 or 6 hour long drive as you reach Haridwar, check into the hotel, freshen up and get ready to explore the town. Being in the holiest place of Hindus, you cannot escape the spiritual and religious endeavors. Visit the sacred bathing ghats of Haridwar and take a dip in the holy River Ganga. Spend your evening exploring the town on your own, return to the hotel and stay overnight and rest.

Day 2: Haridwar - Auli

On day 2 of your trip, you will be reaching the destination much awaited. Today you will be driven to Auli, the famous ski resort in the state of Uttrakhand. If taking a road trip is too cliché for you, opt for 4 km long cable car that will take you directly to the resort, one of the premier ski resorts in India. As you get down from the cable car, the ambience of the entire place takes you to another world. But before you start admiring the spellbinding beauty of the town, check in to resort and rest a while. Later on, you can enjoy Skiing on the slopes of Auli with the assistance of the resort's instructors.

Day 3: Auli

Today’s going to be an exciting day. You will be offered to participate in the exciting skiing adventure in the slope of Auli. If you wish to have the experience, rent the available skiing equipments and get started on the adventure. While you ski you will get to witness the breathtaking views of high Himalaya peaks.  Late in the day, visit Gurso Bugyal, a picturesque location from where you get to enjoy magnificent views of Trishul Peak, Dron Parvat and Nanda Devi.Within close vicinity, lies Chattrakund, a pristine lake that is known for its crystal clear blue waters. Another important attraction that can be visited is Auli Artificial Lake which is one of the highest man-made lakes in the World. Surrounded by mighty peaks of Himalayas, the lake was developed by government to produce artificial snow. After a thrilling day, return back to the resort and stay overnight.

Day 4: Auli- Joshimath - Auli

On day 4 of your trip set out to Joshimath for local sightseeing. The town is famous as winter seat of Lord Badrianth. Joshimath is one of the four ‘maths’ (monasteries) that were founded by Adi Shankaracharya. Visit Shankracharya Cave- near Kalpvriksha, this is sacred cave where Adi Shankaracharya lived and meditated; Tapovan- a popular tourist attraction here that has hot sulfur water springs. Return back to Auli and stay overnight in the resort.

Day 5: Auli - Kausani

Visit Kausani on day 5 from Auli. Kausani is a small town situated at an altitude of1850 meters above sea level. Romantic weather, blissful vibes, snow-covered peaks, lush green meadows and dense coniferous forests allures a lot of tourists from around the country. Upon arrival in this scintillating town, check into the hotel and freshen up and get started to explore the town. Visist Kausani tea gardens, Anashkati Ashram-also known as Gandhi Ashram. Stroll around and return back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 6: Kausani – Mukteshwar

On day 6, visit Mukteshwar, your next destination. On your way to Mukteshwar, halt at Bhowli known for housing the biggest fruit market in the state. Continue your journey towards Mukteshwar. Upon arrival check into the hotel and rest for a while, and set to explore the town which is situated at an altitude of 2285 meters above sea level.Visit Shiv temple, one of the most revered sites here that is also known as Mukteshwar Dham. The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Mukhestwar or Lord Shiva. In the evening, witness sunset over the snow-covered peaks. Dine in the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 7: Mukteshwar - Bhimtal

As you wake up, get ready to go ahead on your tour ahead to Bhimtal. On the way, visit Ghorakhal, famous forArmy School. Your next visit is to Naukuchiatal, a Lake with nine corners- bounded by forests and greenery, this magnificent Lake is a popular picnic spot that also offers parasailing as well as boat riding and then to Sattal, an interconnected network of 7 freshwater lakes. You can boat riding and bird watching here. The air around the Lake is very fresh. Upon arrival at Bhimtal, check into the hotel and relax for some while. Bhimtal is a town that houses the picturesque Bhimtal Lake that lies amidst mountains and greenery.

Day 8: Bhimtal - Nainital

Visit the town of magnificent Lake Naini, named after Naina Devi temple which is located alongside the Lake. Located at an altitude of 1938 meters, Nainital is a picturesque town and full of splendor. Upon arrival check into the hotel, freshen up and set out to explore the town. Visit Khurpataal- the small hamlet around12 km away, it has crystal clear lake and a pleasant climate. Later, opt to ride cable car to Tiffin Top, admire nice views of the surroundings and the Lake and then boating in the very popular Naini Lake. In the evening, do not miss shopping at the Tibetan market and Mall Road. Return to the hotel and spend the night comfortably.

Day 9: Nainital – Delhi

Bid adieu to this exotic state. You will be dropped at Delhi International Airport to board flight for onward destination.
