Description

The place where the east meets west as the culture of India mingles with the Portuguese remnants that are left from 500-years of occupation. Goa served as the shortest route for spice trade via the beaches of Goa during those years. Now, Goa serves as the best travel location in India and even tourists from around the globe visit here to witness the old and the new at the same time.

Divided in two major parts- North Goa and South Goa, the state is the most tourist centric state in India. To the North, Goa is much explored and witness huge tourists lock with an international flair that is now skew more hip than hippie.  To the south, the long stretches of unspoiled sands and oceans are there to escape from the bustle of the city. Forts, Catholic Churches, Villages, temples, and wildlife add to the travel wanders of the Goa. There is nothing that you can’t find here and so it is a best vacation place in India.

Bars, restaurants and other shopping centers are more buyer-friendly here in Goa. Markets are too vibrant and bustled with locals and tourists every time. Even though the best time to visit the state is from October to February, but there isn’t any time of the year when you won’t spot tourists in the town. Huge influx of tourists and locals residing in other states could be seen during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and the Carnival, which is celebrated at the beginning of Lent in the Christian calendar. It is advised to make bookings for trains, buses and flights well in advance if you intend on visiting the state during these times.
