Day 1: Delhi - Leh
As you see the city from the top in the sky from your plane window, it seems extremely enchanting. However, when you land in the town it is even more enthralling and breathtakingly beautiful. As you land in leh. Get ready to be greeted by our cordial representative at the Airport and get transferred to the hotel. It is advised to stay intact and get adapted to the low oxygen rates in the air. In the evening around 4:30 pm visit the Shanti Stupa, the Chowkhang monastery and local market in Leh. Stay overnight at the hotel and stay comfortably.
Day 2: Leh - Spituk - Pather Sahib – Leh
On day 2 you will be driving towards Spituk Monastery after your breakfast. The Monastery in the closer vicinity of Leh at just a distance of 8 kms was built in the 11th century by Od-de. Next visit Pathar Sahib, a famous Gurudwar built in memory of Guru Nanak, who visited the region in 15th century to spread the Sikh religion. Next visit to famous Magnetic Hill, situated Leh-Kargil-Srinagar Highway at an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level.
Day 3: Leh - Pangong Lake
On day 3, drive towards the gripping Pangong Lake. The lake is situated at a distance of 135 kms from the main city. On your journey to Pangong Lake, you will cross the famous Changla Pass which is located at an altitude of 17,500 feet. . On your way to Pangong, you would be crossing Durbuk and Tangtse village. By afternoon, you would be reaching one of the most wonderful lakes of India, the Pangong Lake. Don’t be surprised by the nature’s bliss on this Lake as it looks no less than a movie set up on an unreal location. In the evening return to Leh for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Leh - Khardungla Pass
On day 4, begin your drive towards Khardung La Pass, world’s highest mototrable road in the world at n average altitude of 18, 360 feet. Later in the day, visit the place where Indus River and Zanskar confluence at the point. Later visit Magnetic Hill and the Thiksey Monastery which houses the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha. Spend evening indulging in leisure acitivities and exploring the market. Return to the hotel and spend the night at the hotel comfortably.
Day 5: Monasteries and Palaces
Day 5 is booked for sightseeing around Leh exploring the rich culture and heritage of Leh. At first start by visiting Thiksey Gompa, one of the most spectacular monasteries in Ladakh. Next, drive towards Shey Palace-- an old summer palace of the erstwhile rulers of Leh and Hemis Monastery- probably the richest Gompa in Leh. Now that your spiritual tour is over, drive towards the Stok Palace Museum which is a home to royal artifacts and other items. Later, return to your hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Leh - Departure
This is the last day of your incredible Ladakh tour. Drive towards the airport early in the morning. On reaching, board your flight and carry on with your onward journey.
