Kerala lives a laid back life giving life a chance that we often forget while living in the bustle of everyday lives. Here at pristine glistening backwaters of Kerala, you will get lost amidst the nature and splendor of this beautiful state.

Kerala lacks nothing when it comes to natural opulence of the state. With a tinge of Portuguese architect, Kerala is a home to most important ports of India one of which is Cochin. It had served as an important port since 15the century and since then the ports of Cochin is one of the most important ports in South India.

The hill station of Munnar terrain is in the form of slopes where tea plantation is in abundance and makes up for a scenic site to view. Home to the rare phenomenon that repeats itself every 12 years; Munnar grows a rare species of flora known as Neelakurinji with the most vibrant colours and texture. The slopes of Munnar light up with these rare flower species and increase the beauty of Munnar manifolds.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Cochin (35 km-1 hrs)

As you land in Kochi or Cochin Airport, our representative will help you to get to the hotel where you will check in and unwind. Later in the day, begin your local sightseeing tour in Cochin. Visit Synagogue in the Jew town, Mattancherry Palace, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese fishing nets, Ernakulam Shiva temple, St. Francis Church, and others. You get to see an influence of Portuguese architect in the city and the Marine Drive in Cochin offers a beautiful walkway while enjoying the sunset on the beach. Return to hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Cochin-Munnar (150 km)

On Day 2, you will be driven to Munnar, famous for its tea plantations. Upon arrival in Munnar, check into the hotel and rest for some time. A beautiful hill station in Kerala Munnar is blessed with abundant scenic pleasures. In the evening, a wildlife Safari at the Eravikulam National Park is scheduled for you. Here you can witness rare species of a kind of mountain goat, Nilgiri Tahr. Embark on a jungle safari inside the national park. Once back to the hill town, explore the old town market. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 3: Munnar

Day 3 is reserved for a local sightseeing tour of Munnar town. If evening safai wasn’t enough, go for a morning safari inside the Eravikulam National Park where you can spot several exotic animal species such as Tiger, Leopard, Nilgiri Tahr, Indian bison and more. The national park is a home to rich biodiversity with high elevation shoal-grassland ecosystem. Enjoy your day exploring the town and treat your eyes with the lovely lush views. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 4: Munnar- Thekkady (120 kms)

On day 4 of your Kerala trip, you will be leaving for Thekkady after checking out from the hotel. Drive towards Thekkady and upon arrival check in to the jungle lodge in the blissful town of Kerala. Unwind for a while and get ready to enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake. The Periyar National Park is right on the shores of the lake and on a boat tour it is quite possible for you to see wildlife and birds. After a nice satisfying boat ride, return back to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Thekkady-Kumarakom (30 Kms)

On day 5, leave for Kumarakom by road. Kumarakom is a beautiful small village made of the cluster of little islands. On the banks of Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom is well known for its fresh water fish species like the Karimeen (pearl spot), Chemmeen (shrimp) and prawns. Upon arrival in Kumarakom chek in to the resort on the back waters for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Kumarakom - Houseboat- Alleppey

On day 6, you will board the houseboat towards Alleppey. Cruise towards Alleppey on the house boat and enjoy the ride back to Alleppey while exploring the vast backwaters of Kerala. Enjoy your overnight cruise to Alleppey from Kumarakom while admiring the environs around. Spend the night on board and enjoy your night.

Day 7: Trivandrum - Kovalam (30 Km)

On day 7, begin your drive towards Kovalam. Kovalam is the most exotic Beach in Kerala where you can witness the major tourist influx every year and all year round. Kovalam is full of tourist attractions including the Beach, the Lighthouse and more. Spend evening admiring the sunset with a nice drink in your hand. Spend the night at the hotel and enjoy your stay at the exotic beach.

Day 8: Kovalam

On day 8, embark on a local sightseeing tour at Kovalam. Spend the day at leisure and visit the popular beaches of Kovalam such as Lighthouse, Samudra and Hawa beach along with the other attractions. Also You will cover Shangmugham Beach, Science and Technology Museum, Museum complex, Veli Tourist village, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, and Aakulam boat club. Return to the hotel and stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 9: Departure (30 kms)

On the last day of your tour, you will be driven back to Kochi Airport/Railway station so that you can board your train or flight for overhead journey.
