An abode of spirituality and calmness, Dharamshala is a heavenly town full of eccentric scenes, majestic mountains, shimmering streams, misty Lakes and much more. A huge number of exiled Tibetans have been living in Dharamshala for decades now and the town certainly reflects the culture and tradition of Tibet. In fact, the markets are inundated with Tibetan stuff which is sold by Tibetans. Therefore you get to witness a huge cultural diversity in the town where hundreds of international and Indian tourists and travelers could be seen traveling every year.
Dalhousie on the other hand is a tiny town a few hours’ drive away from Dharamshala. The town is built with superior Scottish architecture and non-traditional streets which makes the town look all British and sophisticated. The pleasant weather of the town all year round makes the town all the more visitor’s paradise and one of the favorite hill towns of Himachal. Home to numerous catholic churches of imperial ear, the Dalhousie is favourite amongst Christian visitors and those who love old day’s charm.
Surrounded by snow-capped mountain ranges, lush greenery and hilly terrains, here you can catch some of the never-fading sights to remember throughout your life.
Day 01: Pathankot-Dalhousie
As you arrive at Pathankot railway station/ISBT, our cordial representative will be there to receive you. A moderate drive will take you to Dalhousie on reaching where you can enjoy the half day exploring places like Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash ki Baoli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chowk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the Old Churches of Dalhousie. Also, a walk from GPO to Subhash Chownk through Thandi Sarak, Dain Kund, and Bakrota Hills would be equally pleasing. Spend rest of the day relaxing at the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 02: Dalhousie to Khajjiar and back to Dalhousie
Today you will explore the alluring Khajjiar which is an hour’s drive from the main town. On witnessing the beauty so surreal, you senses are tend to be dominated and get lost in the vibe of it. The huge grassland is surrounded by dense coniferous forest from all sides and the small Lake in the middle of the ground adds to the beauty of it. One can enjoy the walks around Khajjiar and even can go for paragliding in Dalhousie. Spend overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Dalhousie-Dharamshala
Today we will leave for the enchanting town of Dharamshala from Dalhousie. After 3 to 5 hours drive you will reach Dharamshala and check into the hotel. Freshen up and get ready to explore the divine Dharamshal destinations like Mcleodganj, Dalai Lama temple, Bhagsu nag temple, water fall, Dal Lake, Naddi village. Stay in the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 04: Dharamshala Local sightseeing
Now that you have visited all the local destinations of Dharamshala, it’s time to visit surrounding places like Baijnath temple one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, Chamunda Devi Temple, Palampur Tea Gardens, Taragarh Palace, The Neugal Cafe Palampur, and Bir-Billing. Here at Bir-billing, you could enjoy the adventurous Paragliding if you have the guts for it. After a long adventurous day, return to the hotel at Dharamshala and stay overnight.
Day 05: Dharamshala-Pathankot
After your short exciting trip, it’s time to go back as all good things come to an end. Check out from the hotel and you will be driven to Patahankot railway station or bus stand for your further journey back home.
