Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi – Haridwar

As you reach Delhi, you will be driven to Haridwar, the very first destination of this splendid Uttarakhand tour. Check into the hotel upon arrival and rest for a while. In the evening, visit the sacred River Ganges and its various ghats including Har ki Pauri, Ram ghat etc for evening spiritual ceremony in the temple. Explore the town and return back to the hotel and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 02: Haridwar – Barkot

In the morning, seek blessings from the holy River Ganga, leave for Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie. Halt at Mussoorie for lunch and continue your journey thereon to Barkot Upon arrival in Barkot in the evening, check into the holel of a luxury tent for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Barkot - Yamunotri – Barkot

Today’s long day as you will be going to Yamunotri, a sacred place situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters from where the River Yamuna originates. You will be driven towards Janki Chatti from Bakrot in the morning and you will trek from thereon towards Yamunotri. You will cover the distance of 6 km while you trek from Janki Chatti and reach the Yamunotri temple where you could seek blessing of goddess Yamuna. After paying homage to highly revered goddess Yamuna, trek back to Jankit Chatti. From here you will be driven towards Bakrot and rest overnight in the tented accommodation.

Day 04: Barkot – Uttarkashi

Today you will be driven towards Uttarkashi which is at a distance of 82 km from Bakrot. On your journey towards Uttarkashi, visit the Prakateshwar Cave, a natural limestone cave that is famous for having formations resembling the holy shivling. Upon arrival at Uttarakashi, check into a hotel. In the evening visit the Vishwanath Temple and later return back to the hotel for an overnight stay. Uttarakashi - It is situated at the bank of the Bhagirathi River and is bestowed with various famous shrines. To name a few- Vishwanath, Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Kuteti Devi Temple.

Day 05: Uttarkashi - Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Today you will be driven to the sacred Gangotri town which is famous for being the origin place of River Ganga. Stroll around the sacred place and religious enough take a dip in holy waters of Ganga and perform certain rituals. Later in the day drive back to Uttarkashi and stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 06: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

On day 6 of your religious tour to the sacred state, you will be driven to Guptkashi, a religious town that houses ancient temples like Vishwanath temple and Ardhnareshwar temple. On the way, halt Molgarh for lunch. Continue your journey ahead alongside the beautiful river Mandakini. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 07: Guptakashi – Kedarnath

Today you will drive till Gaurikund from where the trek towards Kedarnath begins. As you arrive in Gaurikund, begin your trek towards the sacred Hindu shrine in Kedarnath. Upon arrival at Kedarnath, check into the hotel or tourist bungalow, freshen up and visit the holy Kedarnath temple. Also visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, located just behind the temple. Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay in the hotel

Day 08: Kedarnath – Pipalkoti

Trek down to Gaurikund in the morning, and on arrival drive towards Pipalkoti. By evening you will check into a hotel at Pipalkoti. Relax and enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 09: Pipalkoti – Badrinath

In the morning, post breakfast drive to of the Char Dhams in India, cared Badrinath Temple. There are various temples that will fall in the way like the Narsingh Temple and Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi. Upon arrival, check into a hotel and later, take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, followed by a visit to the main temple. In the late afternoon, visit the Mana Village, the last village before the Tibetan border, Bheem Pul, Byas Cave & Ganesha Cave. Drive back to Badrinath and in the evening you can visit the shrine for Aarti Darshan. Later, enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 10: Badrinath – Rudraprayag

If you want to see the Holy bath of the Sri Badrinath then wake up early in the morning and enjoy the beautiful sight. After breakfast drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath, Chamoli, Nanda Prayag and Karna Prayag. On arrival, check in to a hotel and have a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 11: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh

In the morning drive to Rishikesh via Srinagar and Devprayag. Devprayag is the confluence of holy rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi; after meeting at this place, these two holy water bodies unite together to form the Ganges. Once arrived at Rishikesh, check into a hotel. Later visit the Laxman Jhula, followed by an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 12: Rishikesh – Delhi

Visit Triveni Ghat- the confluence of holy Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, it is also a revered bathing spot; Parmarth Niketan Ashram- founded in 1942 by Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj, it is placed on the banks of the Ganges; Sivananda Ashram- another popular ashram offering Yoga and Meditation along with propounding a simple way of life; and Gita Kutir Tapovan Ashram- founded in 1974 by Sri Gita Nand ji Maharaj- the ashram works for social welfare of saints, yogis and monks.

Drive to Delhi later in the day and you will be dropped at railway station/ Airport for onwards journey towards home.
