This coast to mountain tour is going to take you places you would not have imagined. You will be traveling from Mumbai to Kerala witnessing the contemporary and traditional lives altogether in different locations of the country. Mumbai, the economical capital of India has lot more to it than just being about economy and business. It serves as a major tourist destination for people from around the globe for its evident history and culture.

The City has a plethora of colonial buildings and architecture that reflects the prominent presence if Britishers in the city during imperial days. The magnificent ocean touches you with gamboling waves of Arabian Sea. The Marine Drive is not just another drive that you could pass without noticing. The waves hitting the ground and people sitting around is a magical site to witness. Besides, being the most crowded city with bustling nooks, towering buildings, concrete structures, the city has a lot of heritage sites, affluent history and some untold stories clung to it. Artifacts and remnants of Indus Valley Civilization, Guptas, Mauryas, Rashtrakutas, Chalukyas and others could also be seen in Mumbai City.

From there on, you will be reaching the ‘God’s own Country’, the state of Kerala is well known for its natural beauty, Beaches, greenery, and emerald backwaters. A unique combination of Sea and Lakes, Kumarakom is a beautiful village lulled by the cold waters of Vembanad Lake. Munnar, on the other hand burst into a sea of blue, a rare flora species that bring skies on the earth. The hills of Munnar tunrs blue, violet, purple with the blooming of Neelakurinji, a flower with 40 odd varieties. An endless stretch of rolling hills carpeted with tiny blue flowers welcomes the visitors in the Hills of Munnar.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Mumbai

As you land in Mumbai Airport or the railway station, our representative will be there to escort you to the hotel pre-booked for you.  Check in to the hotel and unwind till you are out for exploring the city. In the evening take a stroll around the locale if you wish to. Return to your hotel by evening, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 02: Mumbai

On day 2 of your tour, get ready to explore the city of dreams. Proceed for sightseeing of Mumbai city. At first visit Elephanta Caves, located in Gharapuri, the caves are divided into two parts- Hindu caves and Buddhist caves dating back to 5th and 6th century. Next visit Prince of Wales Museum, also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya that exhibits things of Art, Archeology and Natural History. Other than this, you can behold beautiful prints, illustration of different wildlife species, paintings, manuscripts etc. Later visit the Hanging Garden, Juhu Beach, Gateway of India and Marine Drive, where you can savor on some best street foods of the city. Return to the hotel and stay overnight

Day 3: Mumbai - Trivandrum - Kovalam

On day 3, you will board a flight to Trivandrum from Mumbai Airport. Upon arrival in Trivandrum, you will begin your road journey to Kovalam and check in to the hotel. Kovalam is the most exotic Beach in Kerala where you can witness the major tourist influx every year and all year round. Kovalam is full of tourist attractions including the Beach, the Lighthouse and more. Spend evening admiring the sunset with a nice drink in your hand. Spend the night at the hotel and enjoy your stay at the exotic beach.

Day 4: Kovalam - Cape Comorin – Kovalam

On this day, you will be leaving on day excursion o Cape Comorin. Kanyakumari was known as Cape Comorin during the British rule as it was geographically a cape. The sightseeing tour features a visit to the Padmanabhapuram Palace followed by the Archaeological Museum. Return back to Kovalam in the evening for an overnight stay here in the hotel.

Day 5: Varkala

This day you will be driving towards Varkala, one of the most flawless beach resorts in India. Varkala is great for rejuvenating body and soul with alternative therapies. Also a Hindu pilgrimage place, Varkala is popular for Papasnanam Beach and Sree Janardhana Swamy Temple. Upon arrival, check in to one such resort and enjoy your day.

Day 6: Varkala – Kumarakom

On day 6 of your tour, drive to the beautiful village of Kumarakom. On reaching at your destination, check into the hotel and relax while enjoying the hospitality of the hotel. Lulled by the cold waters of Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom is a beautiful village famous for its Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and backwaters. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to many species including cuckoos and Siberian storks. Nearby, the Bay Island Driftwood Museum displays wooden sculpture.

Day 7: Kumarakom

Embark on a local sightseeing tour of Kumarakom on day 7 which includes boat rides on the backwaters. Visit the Kumarakom Bird for bird watching and enjoying the natural beauty and opulence of the sanctuary. Later, enjoy water sports like wind sailing, canoeing and water skiing. In the evening, enjoy strolling around the markets and stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 8: Kumarakom - Thekkady

Travel to Thekkady after breakfast. Check in at the hotel on arrival. Travel across spice plantations, grasslands, cascading Waterfalls and charming trekking paths on the way to Thekkady. This place is regarded as a paradise by travelers who wish to experience a variety of geographical variations.

Day 9: Thekkady

In the morning, proceed for boat safari at Periyar National Park. Also see rare flora and fauna species. Later take a walk through the spice plantations. Stay overnight at the hotel in Thekkady.

Day 10: Thekkady - Munnar

On Day 10, you will be driven to Munnar, famous for its tea plantations. Upon arrival in Munnar, check into the hotel and rest for some time. A beautiful hill station in Kerala Munnar is blessed with abundant scenic pleasures. In the evening, a wildlife Safari at the Eravikulam National Park is scheduled for you. Here you can witness rare species of a kind of mountain goat, Nilgiri Tahr. Embark on a jungle safari inside the national park. Once back to the hill town, explore the old town market. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 11: Munnar

This day is reserved for a local sightseeing tour of Munnar town. If evening safai wasn’t enough, go for a morning safari inside the Eravikulam National Park where you can spot several exotic animal species such as Tiger, Leopard, Nilgiri Tahr, Indian bison and more. The national park is a home to rich biodiversity with high elevation shoal-grassland ecosystem. Enjoy your day exploring the town and treat your eyes with the lovely lush views. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 12: Cochin

This day, you will be driven towards Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin, check into the hotel and rest for a while. Visit to watch the traditional Kathakali dance presentation in the evening. Referred to as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea", Cochin simply enthralls its visitors. The city is also the commercial center of Kerala and is listed as the second most essential city on India's west coast after Mumbai. Stay overnight in the hotel and enjoy yourself.

Day 13: Cochin

Begin your local sightseeing tour in Cochin. Visit Synagogue in the Jew town, Mattancherry Palace, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese fishing nets, Ernakulam Shiva temple, St. Francis Church, and others. You get to see an influence of Portuguese architect in the city and the Marine Drive in Cochin offers a beautiful walkway while enjoying the sunset on the beach. Return to hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 14: Cochin Departure

On the last day of your exciting tour, depart from Cochin. Our representative will dive you to the airport to board a flight home.
