Day 1: Delhi - Haridwar
As you arrive in Delhi, your journey to the hills begins. On the very first day of your Auli Tour Package , you will be driven to Haridwar, the holy shrine of Hindus. After a 5 or 6 hour long drive as you reach Haridwar, check into the hotel, freshen up and get ready to explore the town. Being in the holiest place of Hindus, you cannot escape the spiritual and religious endeavors. Visit the sacred bathing ghats of Haridwar and take a dip in the holy River Ganga. Spend your evening exploring the town on your own, return to the hotel and stay overnight and rest.
Day 2: Haridwar – Joshimath
Wake up to attend the holy Arti in the temple, later on grab your breakfast and leave for next destination Joshimath. On the way to Joshimath, halt at Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag, the four the River Alaknanada meets River Bhagirathi, Mandakini and Pindar respectively. On arrival at your destination, check in to the hotel. In evening if time allows, explore the town. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 3: Joshimath – Auli
On day 3 of your Auli Trip, you will be reaching the destination much awaited. Today you will be driven to Auli, the famous ski resort in the state of Uttrakhand. If taking a road trip is too cliché for you, opt for 4 km long cable car that will take you directly to the resort, one of the premier ski resorts in India. As you get down from the cable car, the ambience of the entire place takes you to another world. But before you start admiring the spellbinding beauty of the town, check in to resort and rest a while. Later on, you can enjoy Skiing on the slopes of Auli with the assistance of the resort's instructors.
Day 4: Auli Local Sightseeing
Today’s going to be an exciting day. You will be offered to participate in the exciting skiing adventure in the slope of Auli. If you wish to have the experience, rent the available skiing equipments and get started on the adventure. While you ski you will get to witness the breathtaking views of high Himalaya peaks. Late in the day, visit Gurso Bugyal, a picturesque location from where you get to enjoy magnificent views of Trishul Peak, Dron Parvat and Nanda Devi. Within close vicinity, lies Chattrakund, a pristine lake that is known for its crystal clear blue waters. Another important attraction that can be visited is Auli Artificial Lake which is one of the highest man-made lakes in the World. Surrounded by mighty peaks of Himalayas, the lake was developed by government to produce artificial snow. After a thrilling day, return back to the resort and stay overnight.
Day 5: Auli - Rishikesh
Today you are going to hit the road towards Rishikesh- the yoga capital of the world. As you arrive in Rishikesh, check into the hotel. In the evening, explore the spiritually rich town if Uttarakhand and visit several Ashrams of which Rishikesh is a home to. Rishikesh got popularity amongst the visitors when Beatles, the band came here to visit the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Ashram. However, the place is not only known for its ashrams, yoga and meditation opportunities, but it is also popular as a river rafting destination. Stay overnight in the hotel and rest.
Day 6: Rishikesh – Delhi
A local sightseeing tour to Rishikesh is booked for this day. Visit Ram Jhula- a popular landmark erected in 1986, this iron suspension bridge over River Ganges is placed at Muni ki Reti; Laxman Jhula- another iron bridge over the Ganges, it is 450 feet in length; Triveni Ghat- the confluence of holy Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, it is also a revered bathing spot; Parmarth Niketan Ashram- founded in 1942 by Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj, it is placed on the banks of the Ganges; Sivananda Ashram- another popular ashram offering Yoga and Meditation along with propounding a simple way of life; and Gita Kutir Tapovan Ashram- founded in 1974 by Sri Gita Nand ji Maharaj- the ashram works for social welfare of saints, yogis and monks.
Now that you have fulfilled your wandering soul with the food it needed, it is time to say goodbye. You will be driven to Delhi and will be dropped to Delhi airport/railway station for your onward journey.
